Daily Cleaning and Maintenance
Surface Cleaning:After each production run, wipe surfaces with a specialized mold cleaner and a soft cloth to remove plastic residue and oil stains; use a copper brush or bamboo pick for hard-to-clean areas, taking care to avoid scratching the mold cavity.
Internal Cleaning: After powering off the equipment, use compressed air to clear plastic residue from runners and gates, while simultaneously checking for blockages or damage.
Precision Component Cleaning: Use compressed air to blow clean high-finish cavities, or gently wipe them with high-quality absorbent cotton dipped in alcohol; do not touch these surfaces directly with bare hands or ordinary cotton waste.
Lubrication of Moving Parts
For sliding components such as guide pillars, guide bushings, sliders, and ejector pins, select the appropriate lubricant according to the equipment manual. During high-temperature summer conditions, apply lubricant at least twice per shift to ensure smooth movement without binding.
Daily Startup/Shutdown Checks
Before Startup: Cycle the mold without material to check that the ejection stroke and mold opening/closing actions are smooth, and verify the fit of the parting surfaces and the tightness of screws.
During Operation: Monitor parameters such as temperature and pressure in real-time; shut down the machine immediately to investigate if any abnormalities occur.
After Shutdown:Close the mold to prevent the cavity and core from remaining exposed. If the machine is to be idle for more than 24 hours, spray anti-rust oil on the cavity surfaces; thoroughly wipe and blow them dry before the next use.
